About
I look after a handful of Linux servers, some elderly, a couple outright antiques. The work is mostly unglamorous: keeping backups honest, watching graphs for the one day a year they spike, and writing down enough context that future-me does not have to guess.
This site is where the notes land. Topics on rotation:
- small-scale hosting and capacity planning under real constraints;
- configuration management and how drift creeps in;
- data movement between machines, safely and verifiably;
- plain-text formats, for as long as they keep winning.
